Power Breakfast to focus on human resource insights to sustain America’s workforce

“Sustaining the Most Critical Supply Chain: America’s Workforce” will be the topic of the semi-annual Power Breakfast networking event hosted by the Washington State University Carson College of Business.

PULLMAN, Wash. – “Sustaining the Most Critical Supply Chain: America’s Workforce” will be the topic of the semi-annual Power Breakfast networking event hosted by the Washington State University Carson College of Business.

The Power Breakfast is designed to inform, inspire and engage business leaders on contemporary business issues. The event is $45 and will be held 8–9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at the Spokane Convention Center. Participants may register online until 5 p.m. Friday, April 22.

Panelists include:

  • Alice Hardin
    WSU alumna and vice president of human resources
    Northwest Farm Credit Services 

    Hardin has given 23 years of service to Northwest Farm Credit Services, a financial cooperative providing financing and related services to agricultural and natural resources customers in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. She leads the company’s team of HR professionals. She is active in community service and is a member of the Red Cross Board for the Greater Inland Northwest Chapter, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Inland Northwest Chapter of SHRM. She also served on the YMCA Board and was cochair of Ferris High School’s major 2008 fundraiser “Ham on Regal” and other school social events. Hardin holds professional designations in HR and SHRM. She is also certified as a Gallup Strengths coach and a Korn Ferry 360 coach.
  • Wade Larson

    Wagstaff, Inc. 

    In addition to his role at Wagstaff Inc., Larson also is president of Optimal Talent Dynamics, a consulting group centered around business, leadership and HR success. As a leadership and workforce consultant, Larson has helped many organizations and individuals improve processes and optimize performance. As an international speaker, author, trainer and adjunct professor, Larson challenges leaders to transform their organizations, people and communities to achieve their best. Over the past 30 years, he has gained unique insights into how leaders achieve success through their people. His latest book “HR Transformation” offers a new model for leaders to adapt to the new rules of today’s workforce. He also wrote “Doing HR Better” (2018) and “Mind Shifts in Healthcare” (2019). He volunteers on several boards including the Boys Scouts of America, the Spokane Workforce Council and the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce.
  • Staci Taylor
    Chief human resources officer
    Providence 

    Taylor is a seasoned HR executive with over 20 years of HR experience in progressive health care. She sets and ensures high standards for HR service delivery and fosters an environment of continuous improvement by motivating, mentoring, and developing others. She works to strategically shape change and promote fiscal responsibility while integrating the organization’s core values. Taylor serves on several local and national boards to support workforce development including the Spokane Workforce Council, Next Generation Zone and National Association of Workforce boards. She is a certified HR professional.

Ron Moser, associate professor of management, information systems, and entrepreneurship in the WSU Carson College of Business, will moderate the panel.
