EVERETT, Wash. – Working with a livestock guardian dog (LGD) is the topic of a workshop 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium, 600 128th St. SE, Everett (inside McCollum Park).
EVERETT, Wash. – Top quality forage is essential for livestock to receive adequate nutrition. A workshop on Forage Testing and Pasture Management will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
BOW, Wash. – Three seasonal workshops about vineyard care will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 9, July 16 and Sept. 17 at the Allen Fire Station, 9061 Avon Allen Rd., in Bow. Each lecture and discussion will be followed by hand’s-on practice at a nearby vineyard guided by viticulturist Gary Moulton.
EVERETT, Wash. – Growing with a Purpose: Building a Community Garden will be discussed by successful community gardener Andy Anderson at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Washington State University’s Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium in McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
STANWOOD, Wash. – Insects, grapevine disease and effective spraying against garden pests will be discussed in three workshops co-sponsored by Washington State University Extension.
SNOHOMISH, Wash. – Keeping livestock happy and healthy is the focus of Livestock Handling & Care hands-on workshops April 2-3 at the Sheriff’s Posse Arena, 5421 S. Machias Rd., Snohomish.
STANWOOD Wash. – Grape pest and disease management for growers in western Washington will be discussed in a hands-on workshop on Saturday, March 19, at the Stillaguamish Grange, 6521 Pioneer Hwy., Stanwood.
EVERETT, Wash. – Woodland owners will build skills for caring for their trees through a Forest Stewardship Coached Planning course 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, March 29-May 17, at the Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. A field day will be Saturday, April 30.
