Washington State University has been recognized as one of the world’s top universities for entrepreneurship research productivity, according to the 2025 Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings.

Compiled by the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University (TCU), the rankings measure research productivity based on the number of articles faculty publish in the field’s three premier journals — Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal — over a five-year period (2020–24). WSU is tied for No. 19 worldwide in this year’s rankings.

“This recognition speaks to the strength and consistency of our entrepreneurship faculty,” said Robert Crossler, chair of the Department of Management, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship at WSU’s Carson College of Business. “It highlights the quality of their research and the impact it continues to have on the field.”

Launched in 2009, the TCU rankings serve as a trusted benchmark for entrepreneurship research excellence. WSU has previously appeared in the global rankings, earning top 20 recognition in 2019 and 2022.
