Fall Commencement set for Dec. 7

WSU graduates celebrate as confetti falls following a commencement ceremony.
More than 4,000 WSU students are graduating this spring, including 3,168 earning bachelor’s degrees, 396 completing graduate programs, and more than 440 Cougs earning professional degrees.

Washington State University will celebrate more than 700 graduating students during the Fall Commencement Ceremony happening Dec. 7.

The ceremony is slated to begin at 10 a.m., with doors at Beasley Coliseum opening two hours prior. The event is free and open to the public. It will also be livestreamed online.

Entrances into Beasley will be limited to the main front doors as well as the entrance closest to the Student Recreation Center on the east side of the building. Guests will also have to abide by a clear bag policy that’s been in place for large athletic events for several years and go through a new weapons detection system.

Guest parking is available at several lots near Beasley Coliseum, with shuttle parking available in the lot behind the Lewis Alumni Centre. A map of available parking can be found online.

Pullman is the only campus that hosts a fall commencement ceremony, with graduating students and their families from across the system invited to participate.

Members of the WSU community interested in volunteering their time to help with Fall Commencement are asked to sign up via a Google Spreadsheet.
