Office of the President moving to downtown Pullman

Washington State University will be moving the President's Office to downtown Pullman by early summer.

To better reinforce the systemwide role of the university’s Office of the President, Kirk Schulz and his staff soon will be moving off of the WSU Pullman campus.

The new President’s Office will be located in downtown Pullman within the Town Centre Building, which also hosts the offices of the WSU Foundation. Efforts are being made to complete the move early this summer.

“This move is just one of many we are undertaking as part of the OneWSU strategy that emphasizes the systemwide role of the president along with the campus leadership role of the Pullman chancellor,” Schulz said. “My responsibilities span our entire system and it makes sense to avoid having the office centered on one particular campus.”

The current president’s suite on the fourth floor of the French Administration building on the Pullman campus will be the new offices of the Pullman chancellor, Elizabeth Chilton, who also serves as provost and executive vice president. Chilton’s staff whose work relates to academics will retain their existing offices, while those who deal with the operation of the Pullman campus will move to the new chancellor offices.
