Tickets on sale for 2018 Women’s Recognition Luncheon

The President’s Commission on the Status of Women and the WSU Women’s Center invite the WSU community to this year’s Women’s Recognition Luncheon, Monday, April 9 at 11:30 AM in the Compton Union Building Senior Ballroom on the Pullman campus.

The annual event is an opportunity to celebrate WSU’s Women of Distinction awardees, individuals recognized for their accomplishments, and contributions to society and the lives of other women. Awardees typically include an alumna, a faculty member, a staff member, an undergraduate or graduate student, and a woman not affiliated with WSU.  Awardees will be officially announced later in March.

This year’s luncheon, themed “Own Your Power,” includes keynote speaker and WSU alumna Angela Jones, Eastern Washington University Vice President, University Advancement and Executive Director, EWU Foundation. Tickets to the event are available for $15 per seat and $150 per table, and can be purchased by visiting the Women’s Center website.

Questions regarding the luncheon can be directed to Amy Sharp at the WSU Women’s Center by emailing alsharp@wsu.edu or calling 509-335-5662. For more information about the Women of Distinction awards and the President’s Commission on the Status of Women visit https://womenofdistinction.wsu.edu/.
