PULLMAN – Elephants, alligators, horses and cougars
check out our collection of cuspids, fangs and incisors in this special exhibit honoring internationally renowned orthodontist and our 2009 Regents Distinguished Alumnus, Dwight Damon.
2-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 10, in the Conner Museum, located on the first floor of Abelson Hall.
Visitors will:
- Huge elephant molars in comparison to specialized herbivore teeth, carnivore teeth — including coyotes and wolves — and reptiles.
- Discover animals that have lost teeth over time and how they take their food.
- See shrews and other creatures that load iron into their teeth, providing extra strength to enamels and producing orange “smiles.”
