WSU debuts new main home page

The university’s new main home page (www.wsu.edu) — featuring video and streamlined navigation — will debut Friday morning.

President Elson S. Floyd initiated the project last year. High among his goals were a desire to simplify the design and incorporate dynamic media content to more effectively communicate WSU’s teaching, research and service mission.

The result is a page featuring videos, a slideshow and pathways to topics of broad interest, including general information about the university, admission, academic programs, campus services, etc.

The University Relations project team worked closely with Floyd and incorporated input from campus stakeholders into the new approach.

“The new home page better reflects WSU’s cutting-edge nature and will help us advance our strategic priorities,” said Tim Pavish, vice president for University Relations. “Web visitors will find a well-designed but simplified home page that provides easy access to all major areas of the WSU organization.”

Questions or comments about the redesign may be directed to John Sutherland (jsutherland@wsu.edu) or John Vleck (vleck@wsu.edu).
