Showcase is WSU’s annual daylong celebration of faculty and staff achievement. Planned for March 27, the day will include the Academic Showcase of research and creative scholarship, the Distinguished Faculty Address luncheon, a reception for retirees, and the Celebrating Excellence recognition banquet.
All events are free except the banquet, which costs $35. Reservations are required for the luncheon, reception and banquet. Because of spring break, the earlier reservation deadline of March 13 has been extended to Wednesday, March 18.
Submissions for the Academic Showcase exceeded by 70 last year’s record of 393. The Academic Showcase committee will complete review of submissions Thursday, and those who submitted should know by Monday, Feb. 16, if their projects have been accepted.
Those honored at the banquet include winners of annual WSU awards for faculty and staff, tenured and promoted faculty, and 2008 patent awardees. Those honored so far with annual awards can be found ONLINE
