WSU Vancouver hosts holiday open house

VANCOUVER – The WSU Vancouver Office of Development and Alumni Relations invites the community to share the holiday spirit at an open house in the Firstenburg Student Commons, 4 to 7 p.m., Dec. 3.

The WSU Vancouver Community Choir will perform at 5 p.m., followed by a greeting from Chancellor Hal Dengerink at 5:30 p.m.

Anyone from the community is welcome on campus to shop late at the Bookie, munch on holiday snacks, hear the chancellor speak on what will be happening at WSU in the coming new year, get gifts wrapped in WSU gift wrap, and have their picture taken with WSU mascot Butch T. Cougar, dressed in a Santa Clause costume.

A food drive also begins the same night, benefitting Clark County families. Guests are invited to bring a non-perishable food item to assist the Associated Students of WSU Vancouver Senate food drive goal to bring in at least 300 pounds of food by Dec. 10.

RSVP to events@vancouver.wsu.edu or call 360-546-9600 by Dec. 1 to receive free parking.
