Groundbreaking ceremony for residence hall

PULLMAN – Faculty and staff are invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, May 1 for the state-of-the-art residence hall on Olympia Avenue.

The event begins at 5 p.m. in the parking lot intersection of Olympia Avenue and Forest Way. The celebration marks the first student housing facility to be built on the WSU Pullman campus since 1972.

The LEED Silver building project aims to reflect the University’s values of sustainability and commitment toward students. In addition, the building will incorporate several green strategies including storm-water rain gardens, sun shading devices and indoor air strategies.
