Remembrances planned for students killed in accident

PULLMAN – A candlelight vigil in remembrance of three WSU students who were killed in an automobile accident near Coeur d’Alene will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 on the Glenn Terrell Mall.

Ann Barney, a sophomore from Steamboat Springs, Colo., Benjamin Lockard, a junior from Kennewick, and Tyler Pearson, a senior from Kennewick, were killed in the Jan. 11 accident.

A memorial service for the three students also will be held at 5 p.m. Jan. 30 at Todd Auditorium. Dean of Students Lucila Loera and Gail Stearns, director of the K-House Common Ministry on campus, are working with students on the organization of that ceremony.
