WSU students participating in the University Honors 300 class will host an Equity and Diversity Policy Roundtable from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4) in Lighty Student Services Building 405.
The class is taught by Michael J. Tate, vice president, and Melynda Huskey, assistant vice president, both from the Division of Student Affairs, Equity and Diversity. Since the class began in August, students have been examining issues and conducting research related to equity and diversity in the context of higher education.
During the roundtable, each student will present on a focused topic related to access in higher education.
“This is a wonderfully engaged group of students”, said Huskey. They jumped head-first into these complex issues and are very excited to share with the entire university community what they have learned.”
Questions and comments from the audience will be encouraged. Light refreshments will precede the roundtable.
