The unveiling of the 2007 National Lentil Festival poster art took place Thursday, May 31, at the Old Post Office Wine Cellar & Gallery in Pullman. The event included wine tasting and a poster signing by Pullman artist Laurel Nickels, the creator of this year’s piece.
The 19th annual lentil festival will be Friday, Aug. 17, downtown Pullman and Saturday, Aug. 18, in Pullman’s Reaney Park. The event includes free lentil chili.
On Saturday, the festival parade downtown will be followed by daylong activities in the park. There will be live entertainment, craft sales and children’s events both days.
Festival sponsors include Washington State University, the City of Pullman and the Chamber.
