WSU hosts energy sustainability forum

SPOKANE — Elected officials, architects, developers and green-building experts will convene to discuss the future of sustainable development in Spokane at the second annual Spokane Sustainability Forum on June 7.

Spokane Mayor Dennis Hession, State Sen. Chris Marr, LEED-CS (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Core and Shell Development) Platinum builder Gary Christensen and sustainability expert Alan Durning will deliver keynote addresses at the event. The forum will explore the profitability of sustainable design, innovations in green building and the government’s role in developing sustainable communities.

The all-day event will be held at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture
(MAC) auditorium. Admission is $30, including a catered lunch.
