RICHLAND – Eleven innovative short films that strive to “push boundaries” will be shown April 19 at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
The Bearded Child Film Festival will be held at 7:30 p.m. upstairs in room 216 of the Consolidated Information Center (CIC 216), at 2770 University Drive, Richland. Admission is free.
The Bearded Child Film Festival is a small, vanguard festival devoted to outsider film and performance art. “Various selections from the festival have been screened at more than 30 locations in the United States, including Grand Rapids, Minn., Boulder, Colo., and Durham, N.C.,” said Douglas Gast, WSU Tri-Cities fine arts professor.
The WSU Tri-Cities film festival will screen the “Traveling Roadshow” – a group of 11 films from the United States, Canada, and Russia. The combined running length is about 95 minutes.

The Bearded Child Film Festival is part of the WSU Tri-Cities Spring 2007 Liberal Arts Season and is sponsored by the Digital Technology and Art Club.
