Students from the Student Alumni Connection passed out cake on Glenn Terrell Mall today in honor of Crimson and Gray Day, which celebrates WSU’s birthday.

On March 28, 1890, House Bill No. 90 was signed into law. This created the State Agricultural College and School of Science located in Pullman, WA, according to the WSU Alumni Association’s website.

Classes at the school did not begin until Jan. 13, 1892, but March 28 is known as Crimson and Gray day and each year the Student Alumni Connection, also known as SAC, distributes cake to celebrate WSU’s birthday.
