Tukey Orchard sells produce

WSU’s Tukey Orchard will host a Friday-only produce sale noon-6 p.m. Sept. 15, at the orchard on the east side of the Pullman campus. Produce is already picked and sales will be in the yellow storage shed at the bottom of the hill. In October, sales dates will expand and U-pick produce will be added.

Available produce includes:
• Sweet corn @ 50 cents/ear or $4/dozen ears
• Cougar Red tomatoes @ $1/pound
• A few yellow and red plums @ $1/pound
• Italian prune plums @ $1.50/pound
• Green Bartlett pears @ 55 cents/pound
• Unusual apple varieties @ 55 cents/pound, including Earligold, NJ83, Beacon, Stark Earliest, Red Duchess and McIntosh.
