The $24 million biomass lab, being built in the Tri-Cities by Washington State University Tri-Cities and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, will study ways to turn agricultural wastes into valuable products and will support the state’s push for clean biofuels.
A ground-breaking ceremony for the new Bioproducts, Sciences & Engineering Lab in Richland, was held April 13. The structure is expected to be completed by late next year.
