Send hurricane aid via payroll deduction and the CFD

As the country rushes to the aid of victims of Hurricane Katrina, members of the WSU community can participate too through the WSU Combined Fund Drive, said CFD volunteer coordinator Theresa MacNaughton, coordinator at University Recreation.

When you give to your choice of nonprofit organizations through payroll deduction, accrued interest along with donations are shared. This means that approximately 105 percent of your contribution reaches your organization. In addition, donating through the CFD is safe because all recipients of funds are nationally screened and recognized nonprofit groups.

You may elect to donate online through the CFD Giving Station at https://www.givingstation.com/?cid=3172, or your may write a check and send it through campus mail to the attention of the CFD at zip 1830. All checks must be accompanied by a CFD donation form (download a copy at http://www.wsu.edu/wsucfd) and must be made out to the Combined Fund Drive.

Any recognized nonprofit organization is eligible to receive a donation. If you are unsure of which organization to choose, the following link has several options: http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=18473.

If you have questions, please contact the CFD at cfd@wsu.edu.
