Exhibit to grace walls of WSU Vancouver galleries

The work of Portland artist Poppy Dully will be on display in Washington State University Vancouver’s Student Services Building gallery from Feb. 4 through March 31.

Dully’s exhibition “My Favorite Places” features pastels, oil and acrylic paintings, producing vibrant and colorful work. This exhibit shares with the viewer Dully’s favorite subjects: Sauvie Island, the Columbia River Gorge, the changing skies in the Pacific Northwest and her frequent travels. Working in landscapes, the pieces become more abstract as the artist captures the image.

Dully describes her paintings as “an expression of a life intentionally lived; one that is grabbing every precious moment to discover what is next and what is possible.”

She is a founding member of the Artists Alliance Northwest and the Pastel Society of Oregon.

Entry to the exhibit is free. WSU Vancouver galleries are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205. Parking is available in the blue lot for $1.50 or at parking meters.
