Graduate Student Research Wanted for Symposium

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University graduate students are invited to showcase their research in the second annual Graduate Research Symposium sponsored by the Education Graduate Organization.

The symposium is planned for Feb. 9 and 10, and will be held at WSU on the Pullman campus.

Proposals on the theme “Toward a Community of Scholars” are encouraged, said Susan K. Gardner, president of EGO and a doctoral student in higher education at the College of Education.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17. To respond, graduate students must e-mail their proposals as Word documents and send to wsugradsymposium@yahoo.com.

The Education Graduate Organization is a networking and support organization for graduate students at the WSU College of Education that encourages high standards of scholarship.

“We are calling for proposals and inviting all graduate students to participate in this research symposium to highlight our deepening commitment to scholarship in theory, practice and professional disposition,” Gardner said.

Proposals will be accepted in any of six categories: poster sessions, workshops, roundtables, paper presentations, symposia and panel discussions.
