Elwood Collection Visits WSU Vancouver Gallery

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Selected works of art from the Elwood Collection will be on display in Washington State University Vancouver’s student services gallery today (Jan. 5) through Feb. 6. Admission is free.

The Elwood Collection, part of the permanent collection at the WSU Museum of Art in Pullman, comprises more than 100 contemporary works of art on paper with a strong emphasis on the print medium. It includes works from renowned northwest artists Fay Jones and Michael Spafford, as well as nationally and internationally known artists Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg.

The collection was assembled by Sean Elwood, a WSU Fine Arts alumnus who worked in New York City and operated his own gallery in Seattle.

WSU Vancouver galleries are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All campus buildings will be closed Jan. 19. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. For more information, call (360) 546-9600.
