Web site directs you to MLK events information

Inspirational and uplifting music by the Harlem Gospel Choir will highlight the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration for Pullman and Moscow next month. Washington State University, the University of Idaho and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration Committee will sponsor the events, which are scheduled around Jan. 19, national Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The choir will perform 8-10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in the UI Administration Building Auditorium. Choir members include singers and musicians from many black churches in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood.

A newspaper in Australia, where the choir has performed, says the choir is “one of the pre-eminent gospel choirs in the world and is loved for its joyous music.” For more, see https://www.harlemgospelchoir.com.

Concert tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children. UI and WSU students will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the WSU Office of Multicultural Student Services, Lighty 190, or at the door.
