Costco hosts WSU appreciation night, Nov. 1

Many WSU employees do a lot of shopping at Costco in Clarkston, so the store has chosen WSU as the focus of its annual major employer appreciation event.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, Costco will close to other customers at 6 p.m. so WSU employees and their families may have the store to themselves for shopping until 8 p.m. Employees do not have to be Costco members to participate or shop.

Costco will serve a light dinner, desserts and beverages, and provide entertainment. There will also be drawings for prizes.

As an incentive to attract new members, a $10 cash card will go to all who sign up that night. “This basically gives the employee the $45 annual membership for $35 this first year,” said Jan Rauk, associate director of WSU Benefits Services.

Members and nonmembers will be able to make purchases with checks, cash and American Express cards.

The store is located at 301 Fifth St. in Clarkston.
