PULLMAN, Wash. — On Friday, June 20, representatives from the Washington State University Center for Reproductive Biology and the National Marine Fisheries Service will discuss a agreement between the two concerning formation of an Institute for Salmon Research and Science.
“The Center for Reproductive Biology – that includes WSU and University of Idaho researchers – and NMFS have common scientific interests in all aspects of salmonid biology and ecology,” said Michael Skinner, CRB director. The agreement formalizes a common interest in Pacific salmon resources and biological and habitat research and provides a framework for present and future cooperative interdisciplinary research and instruction efforts.
The signing program and discussion is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. in Lighty Student Services Building on the WSU campus.
