Yasinitsky compositions to premiere in Clarkston

New compositions by Washington State University Music Professor Gregory Yasinitsky will be premiered at the Clarkston High School Performing Arts Center in Clarkston, Washington. The new pieces will be performed by ensembles from Clarkston High School under the direction of award-winning music educator Fred Dole. Yasinitsky’s compositions were created as part of

a residency funded by The Commission Project of New York, a national organization which places composers in the public schools.

On Tuesday, May 27th, at 7:30pm, the Clarkston High School vocal ensembles will be heard in concert. The Jazz Choir will premiere Yasinitsky’s D’lish.

On Thursday, May 29th, at 7:30pm, the Clarkston High School bands will be heard in concert. The Clarkston High School Wind Ensemble will premiere

Yasinitsky’s Whitewater Rush. Also, the Jazz Band will perform Hangin’ High on the Flat-Five, a new piece which was commissioned by a consortium of band directors from the American Band College.
