TRI-CITIES, Wash. — The Washington State University Tri-Cities campus in north Richland will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, except for the Consolidated Information Center Libraries, for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
When classes resume Tuesday, students, faculty, staff and community members will join to commemorate the life and works of Dr. King with the annual candlelight march and vigil.
The candlelight march across campus begins at 6 p.m. and concludes with music and remarks of remembrances in the atrium of the West Building.
Dr. King’s life will be recalled with a reading of his “I Have A Dream” speech. The public is invited to join in the observance.
