WSU Fall Address Set for Sept. 17

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University President V. Lane Rawlins will discuss several issues before the university at the annual Fall Address, set for 3:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in Bryan Hall Theatre.

Rawlins will review the university’s progress on its strategic plan and address several academic initiatives under development. The president also will review WSU’s work with other Washington universities to achieve a stable funding mechanism for higher education.

Also speaking during the event will be Provost Robert C. Bates and Richard Frisch, the new WSU Foundation president and vice president for university development. Both are expected to comment on the university’s strategic plan and implication for private fund raising.

Jill Schneider of the School of Music and Theatre Arts will play the Bryan organ at 3:15 p.m. A reception on the Bryan Hall lawn follows the program.
