SPOKANE, Wash. — The Interdisciplinary Design Institute at WSU Spokane is again offering two summer Design Day Camps, one for beginners and one for intermediate students. These camps offer 6th-9th graders an opportunity to explore a variety of design activities such as drafting, architecture and interior design. Camps will conclude with a collaborative project incorporating all of the week’s activities in one final “awards” lunch in which the children get to show their progress.
The Beginners Design Camp will run July 15-19 and is open to all 6th-9th graders. The Intermediate Design Camp will be held the following week of July 22-26. Any 6th-9th grade students who attended the Design Camp 2001 or the Beginners session this year are eligible to attend the intermediate session. The Camps will run from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday.
