WSU Vancouver Hosts Film on Afghanistan March 7

VANCOUVER, Wash. — “Jung (War): In the Land of Mujaheddin” will be shown at 6 p.m., March 7, Washington State University Vancouver in the Student Services lecture hall. After the film representatives from Northwest Medical Teams will lead a question and answer session on the situation in Afghanistan.

The documentary follows an Italian surgeon and war correspondent as they establish a hospital in a country torn by war for the last two decades. The film is in Dari and Italian with English subtitles. Some of the scenes may not suitable for everyone. The showing is free and open to the public. Donations for Northwest Medical Teams will be accepted, but are not required. The film is part of the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival.
