Up All Night Activities for WSU Students Feb. 23

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University student leaders have planned a full Saturday (Feb. 23) evening for students who are looking for activities.

The late night program will offer food and entertainment to WSU students beginning at 8 p.m. in the Compton Union Building. Students who bring their Cougar Cards also can enjoy a free breakfast bar at the event from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The bands Advanced Number Theory, Biography of Ferns and FCS North will play in Butch’s Den at 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Admission for all three is $2.

The Associated Students of WSU Films Committee and the African American Association are co-sponsoring two showings of “Training Day” at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The cost is $2.

The CUB Games Area will offer free billiards, table tennis and foosball from 7 – 10 p.m. Students can play three games of Monte Carlo bowling for $3 from 10 p.m. – midnight. For bowling diehards, Thunder Alley bowling will be open from midnight – 2 a.m. for $5 for the session or $2 per game.

WSU Chess Club members will offer one-on-one chess lessons, make boards available for students to play and may organize a tournament for the evening. Psi Upsilon fraternity will run a casino area for students.

YMCA at WSU will offer students the opportunity to make a difference in a senior citizen’s life. Members will be on hand to encourage students to write letters, poems or stories to community seniors.
