Santa Butch Photo Studio at WSU Tri-Cities Set for Dec. 12

TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Children of all ages will have a unique photo opportunity on the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus Dec. 12. That’s the evening that WSU mascot, Butch the Cougar, comes down the chimney to pose for holiday pictures with young and old.

Butch has sent advance word, via his holiday elves, that all Cougs are welcome. And since he’s a bona fide mascot animal himself, people are welcome to bring their pets to join in the holiday photos.

Santa Butch is making his fifth consecutive holiday appearance in the Tri-Cities.
He leaves later in the month for the Cougars Sun Bowl appearance in El Paso, Texas, on New Year’s Eve Day, Dec. 31.

The event is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. in the Atrium of the WSU Tri-Cities West Building, 2700 University Dr., off Sprout Road in north Richland.

Photos with Santa Butch are $4 each or two for $6.
