ASWSU Plans ‘Up All Night’ Activities for WSU Students

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University student leaders have planned a full Friday evening for students who are looking for activities.

The new Student Recreation Center is the site of games, movies, tournaments and a dance — some starting as early at 7 p.m. in the facility and continuing until 2 a.m. Saturday.

A pool party with open spa, inner tubes, water polo, inner tube volleyball and jousting will be available for water sport enthusiasts.

Free refreshments, including mocktails and plenty of food will be provided by WSU fraternities and sororities, ASWSU, Student Programs, the SRC and Student Affairs throughout the evening and early morning.

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament — fee entry for teams is due by Friday at 5 p.m. — will be underway during the evening, followed by a slam dunk contest, Playstation2 and dart tournaments.

Filipino Poetry Night also will be held at the Recreation Center to recognize October as Filipino Heritage Month.

A dance starts at 10:30 p.m. Two movies, one beginning at 11 p.m., are planned for the main gym.

Questions concerning the evening of free events to WSU students can be directed to ASWSU, 509/335-9676.
