WSU’s School of Music and Theatre Arts Opens Fall Semester with Summer Palace

PULLMAN, Wash. — The School of Music and Theatre Arts at Washington State University opens its fall semester series with Summer Palace’s revival of “Company” Sept. 6-7. The revival will show at 8 p.m. in Daggy Hall’s R.R. Jones Theatre.

Faculty Chamber music is planned at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

Future Cougar Day/Band Day’s Jazz Band performance will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 22 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

Faculty member Julie Wieck’s vocal recital is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 25 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

On Oct. 2, the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will play at 8 p.m. in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

A student play festival, featuring one-act works by WSU students, will be held at 8 p.m. Oct. 3-6 in Daggy Hall’s R.R. Jones Theatre.

On Oct. 4, the Solstice Wind Quintet performs at 8 p.m. Bryan Hall Auditorium.

WSU’s Jazz Concert is planned at 8 p.m. Oct. 9 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

Gerald Berthiaume, piano, will give a faculty recital at 8 p.m. Oct. 16 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

WSU’s Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 18 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

The school will host an all-day Choral Festival Oct. 20 in the Kimbrough Music Building, with a 7 p.m. concert in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

A faculty recital featuring Jill Schneider on organ and David Turnbull on trumpet will be held at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

WSU’s Vocal Extravaganza is planned at 8 p.m. Nov. 2 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

The WSU Jazz Festival is set all day Nov. 7 in Kimbrough Music Building, featuring a 12:30 concert in the concert hall.

A guest recital with Ray Kilborn, piano, will be held at 8 p.m. Nov. 8 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

A National Association of Teachers of Singing conference is scheduled all day Nov. 10.

Faculty members Ann Marie Yasinitsky, flute, and Meredith Arksey, violin, will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 13 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

WSU’s Opera Workshop is planned at 8 p.m. Nov. 15 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

The Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will give another concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 29 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

The theater production of “Macbeth” will show at 8 p.m. Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and Dec. 6-8 in Daggy Hall’s R.R. Jones Theatre.

WSU’s Big Band II performs at 3:10 p.m. Nov. 30 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

The annual Madrigal Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in the Compton Union Building Carey Ballroom.

A Messiah Sing-a-long is planned at 3 p.m. Dec. 2 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

A dance recital is set at 8 p.m. Dec. 5 in Daggy Hall’s R.R. Jones Theatre.

WSU’s Holiday Concert is scheduled for 8 p.m. Dec. 6 in Bryan Hall Auditorium.

The semester ends Dec. 7 with the Student Chamber Music concert at 3:10 p.m. at the Kimbrough Concert Hall.
