Women’s Recognition Luncheon Set for March 29

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s sixth annual Women’s Recognition Luncheon will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. March 29 in the Compton Union Building Ballroom.

The luncheon honors the Women of Distinction and Woman of the Year awards recipients. Four women — an alumna, an employee, a student and a woman outside WSU — will be recognized. WSU President V. Lane Rawlins will present the awards.

To qualify, nominees must distinguish themselves in academic work, career leadership or public service and contribute to the personal growth and success of others, especially women, through education, research, public or volunteer service.

The luncheon is sponsored by the President’s Office, President’s Commission on the Status of Women, Women’s Resource Center, Women’s Studies Department, Association for Faculty Women and Coalition of Women Students.

Luncheon tickets are $12. To attend, reservations must be made by March 16. Tickets can be purchased at the WRC, 335-6849, or online at www.wsu.edu/~wrc/luncheon.htm.
