PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Visiting Writer Series continues March 8 with a reading by poet and fiction writer Joy Passanante.
The 7:30 p.m. program is set for Avery Hall’s Bundy Reading Room and is open to the public without charge.
Passanante is a lecturer at the University of Idaho in poetry and literature. She has received several awards for fiction, poetry and scriptwriting, including a Fellowship in Fiction, a QuickArts Grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts, and a Pushcart Prize nomination in fiction as well as nonfiction. Her work is widely published and appeared in the Idaho centennial anthologies for both poetry and fiction.
Her chapbook, “Sinning in Italy,” was published by Limberlost Press in October 1999, and her novel, “My Mother’s Lovers,” will be published by University of Nevada Press in 2001.
The WSU Department of English coordinates the program series.
