WSU Offers ‘Outstanding’ Programs, Opportunities for Hispanic Students

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University is included in “The
Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education” magazine’s Publisher’s Picks List for
offering outstanding programs and opportunities for Hispanic students.

In a letter to WSU President Samuel Smith, the magazine’s publisher, José
López-Isa, said the universities and colleges on the list are “learning what it
takes to attract, enable, retain and motivate Hispanic students, so many of
whom lack the legacy of college-educated families or even the dream of
education credentials.”

The list appears in the Nov. 19 issue of the magazine, published in
Paramus, N.J.
