Bose Added to List of Candidates for Dean of CEA

PULLMAN, Wash. — The search for a new dean in the Washington State University College
of Engineering and Architecture has been expanded to include Interim Dean Anjan Bose.
A public session with Bose will be held at 8:15 a.m. June 17 in Murrow Room 55. Bose will
discuss his vision for professional education and research in engineering and architecture. The
open presentation will be televised to branch campus locations.
Before his appointment as interim dean in 1998, Bose served as director of the WSU School
of Electrical Engineering. He has been at WSU since 1993.
His previous experience includes 12 years as a faculty member and director at Arizona State
University. He has also worked in private industry as a researcher and manager.
Bose earned his doctorate in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.
The other dean candidates include John T. Jurewicz, dean of engineering at Florida Atlantic
University; Ravi K. Jain, professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of
Cincinnati; and Robert L. Reid, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering at Marquette
University.
