Madrigal Dinner Set for WSU Dec. 4-5

PULLMAN, Wash. — Part of Washington State University’s Compton Union Building will resemble the 16th century when it presents the 7th Annual Madrigal Dinner programs, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-5.
The evening, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature the Madrigal Singers, an a capella ensemble of 24 singers that specializes in the performance of vocal music from the Renaissance Era. The singers will perform under the direction of WSU faculty member Lori West in costumes reminiscent of the 16th century.
A prime rib dinner will be prepared by WSU CUB catering. A vegetarian entree can also be requested at the time of making reservations. Seating for the event will begin at 6 p.m. and the performances will begin at 7 p.m. for both nights.
Tickets for the event are $30 a person, with advanced purchase required. For more information or to purchase tickets by phone, call the CUB information desk at 509/335-9444.
The event is a joint effort of the School of Music and Theatre Arts and the CUB.
