PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University will host a public information meeting to present current plans for construction of a new medical and pathological waste incinerator Monday, April 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the Cougar Depot conference room in downtown Pullman.
WSU representatives and its consultants will present an overview of the history of the project to replace the 20-year-old existing incinerator and discuss how the new facility is designed to safeguard the environment, according to Dwight Hagihara, director, WSU Environmental Health and Safety. They also will take questions from the public.
Plans call for the incinerator, estimated to cost $5 million, to be in operation within two years.
