PULLMAN, Wash. — “Metamorphosis: How Animals Change from One Body Form to Another” is the subject of a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program talk next week on the Washington State University campus.
The March 25 public lecture by Donald Brown, president of the Life Sciences Research Foundation, and member of the embryology department, Carnegie Institution of Washington, D.C., is planned for 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Brown was the director of Carnegie’s embryology department from 1976-94. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and past president of both the Society for Developmental Biology and the American Society for Cell Biology.
Brown’s visit is co-sponsored by the WSU Phi Beta Kappa chapter and the genetics and cell biology and zoology departments.
