WSU Sets Financial Aid Open House

PULLMAN, Wash.–Financial aid information will be available to students, parents and high school counselors at a Washington State University open house scheduled Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Room 380 of the Lighty Student Services Building.
The program is part of a second annual regional financial information night conducted by several colleges and universities in Eastern Washington, according to Chio Flores, client services coordinator for WSU’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Services Office.
She said several mini-workshops on questions of qualifying for aid, the types of federal and state aid available, and how to complete application forms will be available to those attending the open house. Individual counseling will also be provided by staff members, and phone lines will be open to take questions from the public. The phone number is 509-335-9711. “It’s business as usual, but on extended hours,” she commented.
About 60-65 percent of WSU students receive some form of financial assistance.
