Amid rising global demand for workers skilled in contemporary technologies who are also culturally literate, WSU is making changes to enhance the popular Digital Technology and Culture Program.

Gitau will lead the campus’ student affairs office, including admissions, financial aid, support services, and student-centered programming for approximately 1,400 students in Spokane and Yakima.
Senior Director of State Relations Chris Mulick is set to become the new interim vice president of external affairs and government relations. He will be taking over for Colleen Kerr, who has accepted a position outside of WSU.
A significant portion of Puget Sound shoreline will be conserved thanks to a new cooperative effort by Capitol Land Trust, WSU, and affiliated groups, including the Squaxin Island Tribe.
In this role, Christen will provide leadership, long-range strategy, and short-term planning for the Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships and the research centers supported by the Office of Research.
