The Open Enrollment period for 2026 benefit elections is currently underway. If you plan to participate in a Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) for 2026, your enrollment must be completed by midnight on Monday, Nov. 24. Current FSA/DCAP participants are not automatically re-enrolled in the program; you must enroll each year you wish to participate.
FSAs allow you to set aside pretax money from your paycheck to pay for out-of-pocket health care costs. The minimum contribution amount for the Medical FSA and Limited Purpose FSA in 2026 is $120 and the maximum being $3,400.
DCAP allows you to set aside pretax money from your paycheck to pay for qualifying childcare or elder care expenses. The maximum annual amount for DCAP in 2026 is $7,500 per household ($3,750 each if you and your spouse file separate tax returns).
Enrollment is completed through Workday. Visit the HRS Open Enrollment website for additional information about these benefits, including a schedule for Zoom presentations or a recorded presentation covering the Medical and Limited FSA benefits.
