WSU announced new leadership roles for Terese King in University Advising and Amanda Morgan as interim director of Academic Success and Career Services.

Aquatic biosystems, race and policing, and waves in the universe are just a few of the topics of STEM programs more than 70 undergraduates tackled this summer with WSU mentors.

Watts, a longtime English professor, said she is interested in hearing from students, faculty, and staff about how to improve WSU’s general education programming as she begins her new role.

Students from WSU Pullman, Tri‑Cities, Spokane, and Vancouver have received $56,000 in fellowships to support their mentored undergraduate research efforts for the 2025–26 academic year.

Nikki Delgado, Hollen Foster-Grahler, Marwa Mahmoud, and Sydney Smith have received Fulbright U.S. Student awards to study, teach, and conduct research abroad.

This summer, 73 students from 51 colleges nationwide are diving into research programs with faculty mentors at WSU Pullman and Vancouver.

The psychology professor received WSU’s first Assessment Champion Award for her leadership in advancing undergraduate program assessment and improving student learning.

Hillary Mellinger and Jesse Spohnholz were presented with the Richard G. Law Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching.

Faculty members Ananth Jillepalli, Molly Schotzko, and Brenna Miller have received 2025 awards for their accomplishments.

The academy welcomed new members from four campuses during an April 15 induction ceremony.
