PULLMAN, Wash. — More than 60 businesses will send representatives to
meet prospective employees from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in the CUB
Ballroom on the Washington State University campus. The event is the ninth
annual Career Fair sponsored by the WSU College of Business and Economics
students’ MBA association.
“We’re thrilled that so many companies and businesses are interested in
meeting students from WSU,” says MBAA President David Sancewich, who
heads the event organization team. “Preceding the fair, we are helping students
create professional resumes and prepare for interviews. The day following the
fair, many employers will remain on campus to meet people individually.”
The fair is open to everyone, including students and the public, Sancewich
says.
Participating employers cover a spectrum of fields from across the nation
including accounting firms, retailers, government offices, insurance companies,
other universities and more. Many have been at previous fairs and were eager
to return to WSU, says Sancewich. Some are participating for the first time, like
Automatic Data Processing, Nikken, the Washington Department of Revenue,
MetLife Insurance Co., Scholastic Recruiting Inc. and Gonzaga University.
Others attending are The Boeing Corp., Eli Lilly & Co., E & J Winery, Fred
Meyer, JC Penney’s, Merrill Lynch, Payless Shoe Source, Shari’s Management
Corp., Sun Valley Co., Target, U.S. Marine Corp., U.S. Navy and Wal-Mart
