RICHLAND, Wash. Project Green Runway will be presented at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Washington State University Tri-Cities as the final project for Teaching & Learning 390, Integrating Fine Arts into K-8 Curriculum.
The “fashion show” featuring dresses made of recycled materials is open to the public. It’s in the West Building Atrium, 2710 University Drive, Richland
The 26 students in the education course are taught by adjunct professor Yichien Cooper. The students broke into seven teams, each team completing a dress.
The judges include Liza Nagel, academic director for the WSU Tri-Cities College of Education programs. Nagel has pledged to wear the winning dress to an environmental-themed fundraising event in the spring.
