Q & A about tenure, promotion, transparency

Faculty performance reviews – and tenure and promotion in particular – will be the focus of a workshop at 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, via WSU videoconferencing and videostreaming.

The workshop is part of a WSU effort to increase the transparency of all faculty personnel policies.

Fran McSweeney, Regents professor of psychology and vice provost for faculty affairs, will discuss and answer questions about all aspects of faculty performance reviews. Any faculty member who has an interest in these issues is encouraged to attend, particularly those who are beginning their careers at WSU or who will come up for an important evaluation soon.

The workshop will originate in Pullman and will be accessible in Spokane, Tri-Cities and Vancouver though videoconferencing. It also will be videostreamed to allow access through the Internet.

Scheduling and location details are available at www.hrs.wsu.edu/tenure.
