Managing in Cougar Country provides variety of training

PULLMAN  –  The fourth annual Managing in Cougar Country conference held Thursday, Aug. 6, at WSU Pullman, provided university managers with a wide variety of training on commonly faced management topics and challenges.
 
Viji Murali, vice president for information services, gave the opening comments for the conference followed by a presentations by John Fraire, vice president for enrollment management, and Craig Parks, professor of psychology. 
 
Workshops allow participants to select from topics including change management, communication, and best practices in administrative support, training and computer management. Other speakers during the day included Donald Nelson, professor in animal sciences, Melynda Huskey, assistant vice president for the Division of Student Affairs, Equity and Diversity, Heather Lopez, director of the Office of Internal Audit, and Julia Pomerenk, WSU registrar.
